Task Accomplished:
The task I decided to complete as a part of this activity was to make a Superhero Resume.
How was the experience?
I must say that the activity was quite productive and I really enjoyed this new experience. I didn’t find it much difficult to follow the plan. In fact it made my task, to be completed, much easier and I was able to focus and manage it more efficiently.
Extent of Accomplishment:
With the help of this plan, I was able to accomplish more in less time since I was able to focus more and avoid my distractions that bothered me during the short breaks. Also, the long break in the end was very joyful. I have enjoyed watching my favourite Anime before but the episode I watched during the longer break brought a different type of enjoyment and excitement.
Future Willingness:
I am very motivated to apply this technique in my daily tasks because I find it very effective.
Challenges and Distractions during the task:
There were some distractions and challenges that I faced during the task. Those were:
- Phone calls
- WhatsApp messages
- Domestic chores
- E-mail Notifications
Learning from the experience:
This is the best part of the whole activity. Through this activity I have learnt how to stay focused and manage the distractions in parallel. Usually it happens that when a call or a message arrives, I begin to answer that and waste a lot of my time that I should invest on my task. But during this activity, when the above mentioned appeared, I kept on working on my task and thought that I will bother them in the short break after 25 minutes. I did this every time and in this way I was able to avoid the distractions and focus on my task more efficiently.
Suggestions Steps for Improvement:
Next time when I perform the Pomodoro activity, I will silence my phone and will put it on a place from where I can’t have a direct look at it. I will only see it during the short breaks and from next time I will reward myself with a more entertaining source during the longer breaks.
