Strategy and Action Plan:

We decided the best ways to achieve a successful fund-raising Scheme.

● At first, two of our teammates, made posters and boxes for collecting funds.

“My religion is humanitarianism, which is the basis of every religion in the world.”

● We firstly decided to reach out to people through social media

● Then we go out physically in different areas like Shalimar, Anarkali, and a Mosque.

Boxes for Collection

● We collected the funds in Orange Line Train as well and a lot of people contributed.

● We visited offices and organizations like:

1-URBAN UNIT

● Urban unit (GIS section)

● M. Farhan (Project Manager Survey of Pakistan)

2-SUI GAS:

● SNGPL (Sui Northern Gas pipeline limited)

● P&D (GIS Section)

● Sir Zia Ul Islam (Senior executive officers)

3-AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT

● Agriculture department Ext 2.0

● Dr. Zahoor-Ul-Hassan (Project Director)

Total people and organizations pitched:

On a total, almost 300 people were visited, all strangers, out of which almost 200 donated and the rest excused and presented reasons for so. 3 organizations/offices were targeted, and we had some sort of link with them as one of our teammates was a former employee in those departments.

Experience:

Our experience of fund collections for the Edhi foundation was a very exciting and full of learning one.

● Firstly, for the collection of Edhi Foundation, we shared or motive in our circles and also put it on statuses and stories on our socials. But even after seeing it, they mostly didn’t respond as expected. We bore it by patience and by staying positive keeping an eye on our great task to help the Edhi foundation, which is in turn helping a lot of people. This perspective gave us strength and confidence to remain consistent.

● We sent personal messages to some of our closest friends and colleagues and some of them did support and help us. It gave us some motivation.

● When we randomly went to some places and collect funds, we got to know about many problems that people are facing. By doing this activity, we all felt sympathy for needy people.

● This experience helped us to accept failure in such a way that for the sake of helping others, you have to come out of your comfort zone and maintain positive behavior instead of worrying about what others think about you. Just ignore them and keep on moving if you are on the right path.

Challenges:

The challenges we faced were:

● People just saying okay or not bothering to reply to messages, statuses, and stories.

● Some of them showed kind of rude or ironic behavior. Are you the part of Amal academy as Amal fellows are asking everyone everywhere for funds?

● Some people had trust issues that their money was not going to save hands and they thought that we weren’t going to deliver their money to the needy.

Images of Activities:

Here are some images while doing the activity:

Cash Collection:

On a total, Rs. 45,000 cash have been collected by the team.

Online Transactions:

On a total, Rs. 15,000 have been transferred to Edhi Foundation directly.

Total Sum:

On the whole, Rs. 60,000 have been collected by circle-6 in the span of 2 weeks and this includes the efforts of each and every member.
